On August 3, 2023 (Thursday), the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences held a ceremony at the Yeouido Smart Work Center for the presentation of the appointment letter to the Director of the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation. Among the attendees were board members, the head of business support headquarters, and officials from research institutes. 

Director Oh Seung-geol has previously served as a teacher at Nanwoo Middle School, Jayang High School, and Changdeok Girls' High School, scholarship officer at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, School Policy Director and Education Welfare Policy Director at the Ministry of Education, director of the Korean Education Center in LA, principal of Jamsil High School, and head of the Responsible Education Policy Office at the Ministry of Education. 

The term of the new director is three years, and he will receive an annual evaluation from the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences based on business performance and research achievements.
